Elvis Presley: Jailhouse Rock artwork
I’m no expert. I’m pretty sure that I’ve never watched a complete Elvis film ever but if the stills and photographs I’ve seen of all his movies are anything to go by, I’ll maintain that Jailhouse Rock features some wonderful art direction.
In fact, the singing and dancing scene in which the title song if performed is often cited as being iconic – and Elvis’ greatest ever film performance. It’s certainly incredibly stylish, that’s for sure. It was made in 1957 and there are fans who would say that this was his peak period. (He was certainly good-looking then, yes?) The film was made in black and white which adds to its stylish appeal and amazingly took only just over a month to make.
There is enough Elvis memorabilia out there in the world and lot of it is, let’s say, less than stylish. So I was delighted to find these Jailhouse Rock prints, posters and merchandise that the most discerning fan would love to own.
