When I first saw these bags, I simply thought how cool and stylish they looked.Scroll down to see a larger image. Then I realized what they are made from and I had to share it with you. They are made from waste material that would normally be thrown out and end up clogging landfills.

Yes, this innovative company has joined forces with Coca Cola and make these bags using misprinted or damaged bottle labels. Even better, they are actually constructed by a free trade women’s collective located in Peru.

These labels, which are water resistant do not meet quality standards but as an alternative to simply being discarded, they are carefully hand-folded and crafted into the stylish bags you see here.

I know, it sounds like a contradiction, doesn’t it? But this is a wonderful service I’ve just discovered and I must share it with you. It is absolutely the best way for guys to shop for clothes – quite brilliant. It’s always said that we girls love to shop for clothes but guys hate it. I have worn mine on many trips around the UK and have had the same jacket for coming on to 10 years, and it still works very well.

I have taken care to follow the washing instructions to the letter, and I have used special products, like sprays and sealant finishes, to keep the Gore-Tex waterproof, and so it has been brilliant at keeping me dry both inside and out.

Gore-Tex is a special breathable material that works like magic.

These jackets would make an ideal gift for anyone who is into the great outdoors!
